Spring is on its way

We have seen surprising temperatures for a few days in February, meaning that the warmer weather is on its way. Spring is just around the corner! I don’t know about you, but it made me want to clean my home from top to bottom. There’s nothing better than having a good tidy up and a spring clean. I’m always looking for some great tips on cleaning your home from top to bottom. Here are my 5 top tips:

  • Bedding – Now is the perfect time to make that change to your bedroom. By changing the colours or pattern of your bedding, it can really make a big difference to the room. If your pillows and duvet are looking tired, why not replace with them fresh new ones. This can also make a difference to the rooms appearance as your pillows are noticeably fuller.
  • Home Appliances – It’s fair to say that your washing machine, kettle and dishwasher are used frequently but how do you clean them? It’s worth giving them a good clean, as this will ensure they last longer. You can buy cleaners for each applicance which will keep them running for longer!
  • Wardrobes – With the spring season on the way, it’s a good time to sort through the clothes that you don’t wear and donate them to a good cause. By sorting through your clothes, you will make your wardrobe more organised.
  • Skirting Boards – These can be forgotten when we are dusting our home. However some skirting boards have small grooves on them which can collect the dust. Don’t forget to check the corners in each room for hanging cobwebs!
  • Furniture – As your sofa is in constant use, money and dust can often get trapped underneath the cushions. Spring is the perfect time to freshen it up with the hoover, hoover all the dust and crumbs away! Finish it off with a fabric freshner to give it that ultimate clean feeling. You might even find some money!
